Marquis (ponazuril) Antiprotozoal Oral Paste is used for the treatment of EPM (Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis) in horses. Marquis Antiprotozoal Oral Paste contains ponazuril, an antiprotozoal compound. Each gram of Marquis paste contains 150 mg of ponazuril. The recommended dosage of Marquis is 5 mg per kg (2.27 mg per lb.) body weight once daily for 28 days, given orally. Each ready-to-use tube of Marquis contains 127 g, which will treat a 1,200 lb. horse for seven days. Ponazuril.
